Cathedral Showcave was explored by cavers in 1953 after they managed to pass beyond boulders choking the end of the cave into the great chamber. The original entrance can be seen to the right of the tunnel.
A reconstruction of cave dwellers and their uses for caves in ancient times can be seen just inside the cave.
There are many 'straw' stalactites in Cathedral Cave, so named because they are thin, hollow tubes.
The largest part of the cave is the Dome of St. Paul's, where a lake is fed from high waterfalls.
